And then it was Thursday... Snow, Soap and a newbie

I don't know what is going on in other parts of Canada but the weather here is CRAZY! As I mentioned yesterday it was snowing and we also had hurricane strength winds which is very unsual. Today it is beautifully mild. If you have never had the joy of having snow and green grass I thought I would share:

Weird eh?! Especially when you consider all of our stores have had flowers to plant out on the sidewalks for sale since January!!

Yesterday I said I was going to show you what I was cooking up. First up we have a cucumber melon soap with bentonite clay beads. It visually did not turn out the way I had hoped, but the smell and the creaminess more than make up for the little bit of fugly!

Next up was Rice flower and shea. This is a new scent for me and nothing like I imagined. It smells just like a flower garden in the heat of the summer. It is light, feminine and definetly perfect for spring!

I will leave off today with a shout out for a brand new store CraziCandy She has some really unique items such as her skeleton hand hair accessory...check her out!

Till tommorrow my crafty friends!

Please forgive me...

It's been over a year since I have posted anything...how can this be? Ok late New Years resolution, I will blog daily, I promise. Whew I feel better already :) I won't attempt to catch you up on the last year....we will just start anew.

Today I woke up to the lovely news that TheChristmasCorner from Etsy had put my shop up on the sidebar of her blog. How exciting and so very sweet of her!! It's a fantastic blog please check it out.

Yesterday and today have been soapmaking days. It's been snowing here which is an oddity so what better to do than make soap? My first was some Warm Vanilla Sugar yum yum. I love this scent although I wasn't that fond of it at first. here is the final result:

Is it wrong to want to eat it???

My next creation was a kahlua soap. This one turned out MUCH differently than I had turned out. It has coffee , almond and vanilla in it. As it sat the smll changed. It has a spicy layer too it that I can't figure out for the life of me. Where on earth did that come from? It smells uber yummy though!

Tomorrow I will let you all in on todays creations :)
